Dress Code
All AFSIVA students should wear uniform tops with the school insignia and logo. The uniform should be visible. Bottoms may include pants, skirts, or knee-length shorts. All clothing should be free of holes/rips/tears.
Permitted Dress Code: Uniform
Students are expected to wear a school uniform daily, and the color of the uniform should match each student's grade band. The school-approved uniforms include:
Short sleeved T-shirt, long-sleeved T-shirt, and/or crew-neck sweatshirts:
Class of 2028: Burgundy
Class of 2027: Gold
Class of 2026 and 2025: Black
Students are permitted to wear the following bottoms that are free from rips, holes, and tears:
Joggers, sweatpants, jeans, and knee-length skirts and shorts
Exclusionary Dress Code
The Exclusionary Dress Code below represents a comprehensive list of attire not allowed on the AFSIVA campus.
Torn Clothing – No clothing designed or altered to expose undergarments or large skin sections.
Underwear - No undergarments worn as outerwear are allowed.
Printed Matter on Clothes -- No wearing apparel printed with vulgar statements or statements promoting the use of drugs, alcohol, sex, and/or violence is allowed.
Headwear – No hats, ski masks, hoods, or bonnets are allowed.
Bedtime Apparel – No pajama-type attire, undershirts, or other bedtime attire is allowed.
Outerwear must be placed be in a locker unless you have permission from an administrator.
Shorts, Skirts, and Tops—Knee-length shorts and skirts (when a student is standing), halter tops, tank tops, muscle shirts, or see-through tops are not allowed, and mini-skirts are not allowed.
Do you need assistance with maintaining your uniform:
BCPSS policy allows schools to offer support when students cannot maintain clean clothing or uniforms. Schools may provide students access to laundry facilities for uniform apparel or supply clean and suitable clothing if needed.
