Johnston Square Elementary School, where the "Victories Happen on Valley Street" because 'Our Lives Depend on our Education," is a school that is deeply committed to the academic and social-emotional development of each child who enters the schoolhouse every day. The school has made steady academic progress, increasing its Maryland Star Rating and posting the highest number of Grade level readers in five years. We offer a number of academic enrichment resources in Literacy and Math. We are a YMCA partner school with a Community School Director who provides a number of wrap-around supports to support children and families.
