The Belair-Edison School has a long history in Belair-Edison. Formerly Brehms Lane Public Charter School, we merged with Afya Public Charter School in 2019 to become The Belair-Edison School, a dual-facility PreK-8 school in the Belair-Edison neighborhood. Our elementary school grades remain at our Brehms Campus (the former Brehms Lane PCS) and our middle grades remain at our Brendan Campus (the former Afya PCS). Our school is operated by Afya Baltimore Inc. (ABI). Afya is a Swahili word for health and health is at the heart of what we do. At our school, we focus on the intellectual, physical, and social/emotional health of our students. The Belair-Edison School has a strong sense of community and school pride and is committed to providing the necessary supports and structures as our young people grow and mature.
