Annual Review Recommendation:

There is a pending set of recommendations related to this school community .The Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners is considering a set of recommendations to close Edgewood Elementary School in June 2025, at the end of the current school year, and combine the school with Gwynns Falls Elementary School, with a smaller number of students in the Gwynns Falls zone being reassigned to Windsor Hills Elementary/Middle School for school year 2025-26. If the recommendation is approved, the Edgewood building would be surplused to the city of Baltimore in summer 2025. To learn about these recommendations or recommendations for other schools as well as how to provide feedback to inform the Board’s decision-making process, please visit City Schools Annual Review of Schools page found here: https://www.baltimorecityschools.org/page/annual-review.

Gwynns Falls Elementary School is an oasis for our students. We work with local businesses and universities to form partnerships that support academic and social success for our scholars. We enrich our scholars in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math (STEAM), and develop leaders who have confidence and conviction. Gwynns Falls also houses a citywide program for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
