Our work aims to increase student achievement and ensure equitable access to resources and opportunities for all City Schools students. We are committed to having a dedicated person in place for every learner, supporting their unique talents, abilities, and development. Goals

  • Building Educator Capacity: Enhance teachers' instructional skills by emphasizing culturally responsive teaching and strategies supporting diverse learners.​

  • Continuous Improvement:  Encourage educators to engage in collaborative learning communities where they reflect on their practice, share strategies, and examine student data.​

  • Align with District Priorities: District-wide literacy and math achievement priorities, social-emotional learning, and educational equity are prioritized in each aspect of professional learning.

  • Support for Early Career Teachers: Reduce teacher turnover through induction programs, mentoring, and targeted professional learning experiences. ​

  • Data-Driven and Personalized PL: Leverage data to ensure that professional development offerings are responsive to teachers' and schools' needs. ​
