Vision

Our work aims to increase student achievement and ensure equitable access to resources and opportunities for all City Schools students. We are committed to having a dedicated person in place for every learner, supporting their unique talents, abilities, and development. Together, we strive to positively impact the city of Baltimore by fostering personal growth and unlocking the potential of every student.

Goals

  • Building Educator Capacity: Enhance teachers' instructional skills by emphasizing culturally responsive teaching and strategies supporting diverse learners.​

  • Continuous Improvement:  Encourage educators to engage in collaborative learning communities where they reflect on their practice, share strategies, and examine student data.​

  • Align with District Priorities: District-wide literacy and math achievement priorities, social-emotional learning, and educational equity are prioritized in each aspect of professional learning.

  • Support for Early Career Teachers: Reduce teacher turnover through induction programs, mentoring, and targeted professional learning experiences. ​

  • Data-Driven and Personalized PL: Leverage data to ensure that professional development offerings are responsive to teachers' and schools' needs. ​
