​​​​​​​This program provides tutoring and mentoring for students who are having some difficulty with various subjects. ABAE offers tutoring in SAT Math, SAT Verbal, Algebra I and II, Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English/Writing. ABAE's main focus is on tutoring, which takes place on most Saturdays at the UM School of Pharmacy.

​​​​​​​This is a program sponsored by the University of Maryland to help select first-generation college students to navigate the complex world of college admissions. Over a series of sessions in the fall semester, selected students will receive sustained assistance through the staff in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This program provides educational, motivational, and practical tools to use.

Approximately 35 ninth-graders are accepted annually into the five-week MS2 program and attend on full scholarships for three consecutive summers. The program includes room and meals, textbooks, course materials, health insurance, and transportation to and from the program. MS2 scholars attend 9 hours each of math and science classes every week.

​​​​​​​The Summer Academic Research Experience (SARE) seeks to develop exceptional high school students from the greater Baltimore area by introducing them to academic research with a secondary emphasis on STEM and health-related professions. SARE provides these scholars with a unique exposure to modern scientific research, combined with additional tutoring to fortify basic academic skills.

This program provides Baltimore City Students the opportunity to complete an either-week long paid internship in one of various departments throughout the institution. The MERIT-Health Professions Recruitment and Exposure Program (HPREP) is four Saturdays of medical skills training, career exposure, projects and service learning for high school freshman in Baltimore who are interested in health care or biomedical science careers. Participation in this program is highly recommended for students who would like to apply to MERIT in 10th grade.

Engineering innovation is an exciting college-level summer program for motivated high school students with an aptitude in math and science and an interest in (or curiosity about) engineering. Students learn to think and problem-solve like engineers and have the opportunity to earn Johns Hopkins University credit.

Maryland Youth & the Law (MYLAW) has been teaching youth about the law and legal system, and helping to foster an appreciation for the American Judicial System. Law Links is a 7-week, paid summer internship that places students in law firms and law-related agencies. Interns work full-time, Monday through Friday. In addition to the on-site internship, students also participate in the Law & Leadership Institute.

This program provides internships in STEM and business related field for students. Several Pol students were placed this summer at notable companies such as: BG&E, Whiting Turner, CMR Engineering, EN Engineering, and the Baltimore City Health Department.

Students attend the Aspen Ideas Festival and engage in year-long leadership development, in order to inspire and ignite action in their schools, communities, and beyond. Scholar teams are tasked with developing and executing their own community change project, known as a Local Ideas Festival. Students can address a diverse range of issues that meet an investigated, proven need for their community.

This program offers a free, innovative residential journalism and college prep institute for high achieving high school juniors from low-income backgrounds. Over ten days every summer, up to 40 students from across the country explore current events and world affairs through workshops and lectures led by Princeton professors, professional journalists, and alumni on campus.

​​​​​​​AgDiscovery at Coppin State University is a two week educational summer outreach program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The program offers a unique opportunity for students to explore agricultural sciences, and learn about careers in animal science, plant science, entomology, agricultural business, marketing, and food processing and production.

Adelante Latina is a free, after-school college prep program for high achieving 10th - 12th grade Latinas living in Baltimore City with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in freshman year. Recruitment takes place in Spring of a student's freshman year. All students who successfully complete three years of the program will receive a $3,000 scholarship towards their college degree.

A week long, residential leadership program at University of Maryland where young women learn about the energy industry in fun and interactive ways, including field trips, hands on activities, small group discussions with women leaders from across the region, leadership development training, and an energy challenge. Each participant will receive an iPad to use for Academy activities and to take home at the end of the week.

During the summer between students' junior and senior years, Lebanon Valley College offers a week-long intensive programs for rising seniors designed to help them decide if they're interested in actuarial careers. Students will live on campus in a residence hall with a Residence Assistance during the week of camp.

Frostburg State University offers two programs, the Academic Year Program and the Summer Residential Program, to provide students with the skills and motivation necessary to succeed in high school and afterwards in college. The Academic Year Program provide students with enriched classes, tutoring, and advising. The Summer Residential Program gives students firsthand experience of living on a college campus.

​​​​​​​The Summer Transportation Institute (STI) is a free program designed to encourage students to pursue careers in transportation. The 2019 STI will take place from July 1 - July 26 and starts at 8:30AM. The non-residential program features four week of field trips, hands-on projects, and networking opportunities. The curriculum includes SAT prep and activities that promote self-awareness.
