Academic Requirements For the Classes of 2012-2015
Western offers five academic programs: College Preparatory, Accelerated College Preparatory, Teacher Academy, Biomedical Sciences, and IT Networking Academy (CISCO).
All five programs:
exceed state graduation requirements
meet nationwide college admissions standards
offer the opportunity to enroll in honors and Advanced Placement courses
The Accelerated College Preparatory Program has these additional features:
most rigorous program
minimum of 4 honors or Advanced Placement courses per year
minimum total of 3 A.P. courses required
The Teacher Academy requires four additional courses that prepare students for a career in education:

Educational Academy Internship
The Biomedical Sciences program (Project Lead the Way) requires four additional courses that prepare students careers in biomedical sciences:
Principles of the Biomedical Sciences
Human Body Systems

Biomedical Innovation
The IT Networking Academy (CISCO) requires four additional courses that prepare students careers in biomedical sciences:
