Greetings, Western High School Family,

It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Western High School and to join this unique and historic school community.

My professional background speaks to community engagement, collaboration, rigorous instruction, equity, and positive culture and climate. For the past thirteen years, I have served as a classroom educator, equity support teacher, educational associate, and assistant principal. I am enthusiastic about utilizing my previous experiences in my new role as your principal.

While walking through the halls of Western, I noticed our walls tell the story of a community rooted in excellence. As your school leader, I want to assure you I share your passion and commitment to providing our students with a world-class education. I will work diligently and collaboratively with you to preserve Western’s traditions of integrity and high academic standards.

I believe in building positive relationships, open communication, and stakeholder input in decision-making with our students, staff, parents, and alumnae. Through this belief system, we will embody the essence of our school’s motto, “Lucem accepimus, lucem demus” (“We have received light, let us give light”). Our students will be instilled with light from our visionaries ingrained in academic excellence and leadership. The powerful light they will shine upon the world will provide guidance and direction.

I look forward to engaging in discussions with you about the abundant opportunities within our school community this summer and our school year. I am excited about all we will accomplish together as a community and look forward to celebrating these collective accomplishments.
