September 5, 2022 For Immediate Release

UPDATED - Sept. 11, 2022

On Friday, September 9, the City of Baltimore lifted its water boil advisory for neighborhoods in West Baltimore. Please see the notice here. Schools that were included in the advisory area are listed below:

Out of an abundance of caution, City Schools is taking the following steps to ensure schools in the water boil zone have access to clean water:

** Continue our standard practice of using bottled water for drinking at all schools except newer designated buildings, which use water filtering systems.

** Schools will flush their water pipes by running faucets and water outlets for 15 minutes, as recommended by the City.

** Schools will flush the water lines in all ice machines and refrigerators. Any ice currently in the ice machines will be discarded, and the machines will be cleaned thoroughly.
