Celebrations include pizza, slime-making, and Field Day
The end of a school year is a time to celebrate accomplishments, reflect on what we’ve learned, and look ahead at the progress and growth to come. All around City Schools, students have spent the end of the year having fun, planning their futures, and staying engaged. Check out some of the many ways schools and students are infusing their end of the school year with fun experiences that keep kids learning until the final bell.
Alphabet countdown at Furman L. Templeton Elementary:
Students and staff count down the days before summer using the alphabet, with one letter for each of the last 26 days of school! On N is for Name Day, students chose their own fun nicknames and used them that entire day. On T is for Thank You Day, students wrote letters to their teachers to say thanks. And on S is for School Spirit Day, the entire school community showed their pride! Here's a full recap of the alphabet countdown.
Book Bank rolls through Henderson Hopkins Elementary:
Here comes the Bookmobile! Last week, the Maryland Book Bank stopped by to give every student three books of their choosing to take and read over the summer. Check out some photos from the event.

Field Day and Pride at Holabird Academy:
