Augusta Fells Savage (AFS) and Bluford Drew Jemison (BDJ)

9th grade staff and students at both AFS and BDJ will report in-person as planned on Monday, April 12.

However, due to a power outage that impacted both schools all this week, teachers serving students in the new grade levels slated to return to in-person for the first time on Monday have not been able to set up their classrooms.  Accordingly, the start of in-person learning for those grades will be delayed until Wednesday.  Specifically, the schedules for those two schools will be as follows:

AFS
  • Monday, April 12 and Tuesday, April 13 
    • 9th grade staff and students: in-person
    • 12th grade staff: report in-person and teach virtually while setting up their classrooms 
    • 12th grade students: access their learning virtually
  • Wednesday, April 14
    • 9th and 12th grade staff and students: in-person
BDJ


  • Monday, April 12
    • 9th grade staff and students: in-person
    • Middle School and 12th grade Staff: teach remotely from home
    • Middle School and 12th grade Students: access their learning virtually
    • ITD on site at BDJ to install additional WiFi access points in MS and 12th grade
  • Tuesday, April 12
    • 9th grade staff and students: in-person
    • Middle School and 12th grade staff: report in-person and teach virtually while setting up their classrooms
    • Middle School and 12th grade students: access their learning virtually
  • Wednesday, April 14
    • Middle School, 9th and 12th grade staff and students: in-person

Stadium School
Due to staffing issues resulting from a staff member who tested positive for COVID and the need to quarantine them and their close contacts, 7th grade staff and students will remain virtual until Monday, April 26.  Other grades at Stadium School (6th and 8th grade) will return to in-person learning as planned on Monday, April 12.
