City Schools w/no AC will early release at 10:30 a.m. today - Monday, June 7 - for all schools that do not have air conditioning. A full list of the schools is available at https://www.baltimorecityschools.org/ac.
Highlandtown #215, Liberty Elementary School, and William S. Baer School will also release early as the air conditioning at these schools has not been working properly. Kipp Harmony Academy will close today at noon. Westport, George Washington, and Edgewood will close today at 12:30 p.m.
Schools impacted by this notice will transition to virtual learning while staff will transition to teaching from home.
Meal sites located at those schools will also close at 10:30.
Transportation will be provided to students. Schools should make every effort to make take away lunches available to students before they leave.
High temperatures are expected tomorrow, June 8, 2021. Families will be notified this evening if schools without A/C will remain virtual tomorrow due to heat.
