Our operations team has been hard at work preparing our buildings for the colder weather. As part of that work, we can monitor the temperatures in all our school buildings remotely through sensors that are strategically placed throughout the building. The sensors show the temperatures in buildings in real-time. This allows us to make decisions and respond much sooner.
We have heard your feedback about the timing of our closure messages, and we will do our best to let you know about closures earlier. If we need to close a school building or dismiss early, the decision is made as quickly as possible. For district-wide closures, we aim to decide by 5:00 a.m., or earlier if conditions allow.
