April 3, 2020 For Immediate Release

BALTIMORE — Last week, Baltimore City Public Schools (City Schools) released its online family survey to identify students and families without adequate access to the internet or devices to accommodate new distance-based learning methods. This, which also assesses their need for food support, may be found at https://survey.k12insight.com/r/foodandtechsurvey.

Approximately 7,000 survey responses have been received so far. City Schools is preparing Google Chromebooks for distribution the week of April 13. The survey results will help ensure this technology is ready to distribute to families who need them.

In an effort to reach as many families as possible, the survey is being sent via call, text, email, and social media. A link is also available on the district website. Although these are challenging times, City Schools is working diligently to maximize learning and support for our students and families.
