BALTIMORE — Today, Baltimore City Public Schools (City Schools) announced its plans to celebrate the Class of 2020. Graduating seniors will be honored at a district-wide graduation ceremony on Tuesday, June 9 at 6 p.m. The ceremony will include remarks from Baltimore City Mayor Bernard “Jack” Young, City Schools CEO Dr. Sonja Santelises, School Board Chair Linda Chinnia, author and entrepreneur Wes Moore, radio hosts DJ Quicksilva and Porkchop, actress Bresha Webb, singer Mario, Baltimore Ravens Coach John Harbaugh, WBFF anchor Patrice Sanders, and performances and music. It can be watched on City Schools Facebook page and YouTube channel. It will also be recorded and available on the district website.
To accommodate the ceremony, the biweekly virtual meeting of the Board of School Commissioners will begin early at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9.
School virtual graduations
Additionally, between June 10 and June 18, every City Schools high school will hold a virtual graduation. Ceremonies will be pre-recorded and will stream live on City Schools' Facebook page and YouTube channel. We encourage students to wear their caps and gowns during their school's ceremony. Each ceremony will include traditional graduation music, student speakers, special guests, performances, and validating the diplomas.

City Hall Lights
From June 10 to June 17, City Hall and the War Memorial will be illuminated with school colored lights to honor 2020 graduates. A list of the dates and times can be found here.
