With the support of The Fund for Educational Excellence, the COVID-19 Food Stability Fund provided more than $600,000 to both ensure meal delivery to Baltimore City Public Schools students unable to access meal sites in the city and to support the staffing needs of the district's summer meal sites. This support bolstered the ability of City Schools to serve more than 600,000 meals to students and families between March and July 2020.

In total, the COVID-19 Food Stability Fund raised more than $1.3 million to provide food during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to supporting the efforts of City Schools, a total of $659,000 in grants ranging in size from $2,500-$15,000 were given to 50 Baltimore organizations providing food to Baltimore children, families, and seniors.
