August 24, 2020 For Immediate Release
BALTIMORE — Baltimore City Public Schools (City Schools) is updating how families may obtain a laptop prior to the first day of school on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020.
City Schools campuses will notify students and families directly via phone or email regarding the dates and times they may pick up devices from the school. Families should not go to the schools to get devices before that date.
Everyone picking up a hotspot MUST wear a face mask. For students under age 18, only parents or guardians may pick up a hotspot with a valid student and government ID. Students over age 18 will need to bring their student or government ID.
PLEASE NOTE: Charter school students are not eligible for a hotspot. Many charter schools have different options for students in those programs. Families should contact their school directly to learn about their options.
More information about device and hotspot distribution may be found HERE.
