Recently, Under Armour honored some of our student-athletes at a ceremony at Edmondson-Westside. Dr. Santelises, Mayor Brandon M. Students in the Building Steps program recently visited LifeBridge Health and Sinai Hospital to learn about hematology, the blood bank, microbiology, and much more. Building Steps is one of the district's partners, providing experiences and opportunities that position high school students for college and career success.
As part of the district's Core Vocabulary Initiative, we're installing Playground Core Boards at schools including Lakewood, Abbottston, and more. These boards help students communicate with friends and staff while playing. See both new boards here.
The Baltimore chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women and the Baltimore Design School hosted the 4th Annual STEAM Career Fair with over 32 professionals presenting about their careers. Read all about it on the Baltimore Design School’s website.
Seventh-grade students from North Bend were selected to pilot JA Finance Park - Junior Achievement of Central Maryland's newest on-site program for personal financial planning and career exploration.
