To increase support and district transparency around school safety, violence prevention, and student wholeness, the Board of School Commissioners has created the Safety and Wholeness Committee. Comprised of dedicated members, this committee will play a pivotal role in shaping policies and initiatives that enhance our students' overall safety and wholeness.
The committee will:
- Engage with district personnel and stakeholders to develop a comprehensive roadmap to enhance student and staff safety standards and services.
- Leverage the guidance and resources from federal, state, and local levels to incorporate cultural, restorative, and healing-centered approaches within student wholeness initiatives.
The Safety and Wholeness Committee will meet on the third Thursday of each month from 4 – 5:30 p.m. For more information, please visit our Board Committees webpage.
The first meeting will be on Thursday, March 21.
