This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and a great time to thank a teacher in your life! Fallstaff was able to give their teachers a branded lunch bag courtesy of Herman’s Discount! Callaway Elementary School gave teachers gift bags with a school-branded candle.
We celebrated City Schools principal Dr. Yetunde Reeves from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School for being named the Maryland Association of Secondary School Principals’ (MASSP) 2024-2025 Maryland Principal of the Year. Receiving many nomination, she was recognized for her focus on establishing relationships, building positive school culture, and her focus on academics.
With a focus on environmental sustainability, Green Street Academy Farm was a recent contender in the ECO-Warriors of the Future School Competition!
The William S. Baer School celebrated Asian-America and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. They explored dances, music, games, costumes, and foods from these rich and diverse cultures.
James McHenry Elementary/Middle School hosted Saturday Math Camp to help students prep for this year’s MCAP. They celebrated the last day of camp with a trip to Dave & Busters!
Across the district graduating seniors are celebrating Decision Day, a day to announce decisions of selected college or trade school programs. Check out Digital Harbor’s celebration on Instagram.
To prep for the upcoming MCAP tests, Belair-Edison Elementary/Middle School invited parents and guardians to compete in a “Are You Smarter than a 3-5th Grader?” contest. It was a fun way to encourage reviewing concepts that will be on the MCAP test.
Graceland Park/O’Donnel Heights Elementary/Middle School students in Girls on the Run ran a 5K! Great work, girls!
The Midtown Academy students were able to enjoy the warmer weather with outside recess!
As part of the new partnership between the Orioles and City Schools, students from Harlem Park Elementary/Middle School have had the unique opportunity to attend batting practice before Oriole games, interact with players and staff, and enjoy an evening of baseball.
