Hamilton Elementary Middle School Living Wax Museum Sign hangs outside of cafeteria as students file in.

Fifth grade students at Hamilton Elementary/Middle School celebrated Black History Month with a Living Wax Museum. The students spent months researching (including a field trip to the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture) and preparing speeches to properly embody these heroes of culture and industry in the interactive presentations at the end of February. Two local icons were featured in the exhibit: City Schools CEO Dr. Sonja Brookins Santelises and Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott.
