Dear GHEMS Family,
At Garrett Heights Elementary Middle School, we believe that our community thrives when everyone takes an active role in making it a better place to live, learn, and grow. One of the most impactful ways we can all contribute is by addressing the needs of our community through the Baltimore City 311 service request system.
What is 311?
Baltimore City’s 311 system connects citizens, businesses, and visitors with city services, programs, and information. Through a simple phone call, web portal, or mobile app, you can:
Report issues such as potholes, graffiti, trash collection delays, and streetlight outages.
Request services like bulk trash pickup or tree trimming.
Check the status of a previously submitted service request.
Access information about City programs or events.
Our Challenge to You
We are calling on every student, parent, teacher, staff member, and community partner to actively participate in keeping The GHEMS Community Clean, Green, and Safe. Let’s all make a difference by submitting at least one 311 service request for issues affecting our school or neighborhood.
How to Submit a 311 Request
By Phone: Dial 3-1-1 to speak to a live agent.
Online: Visit Baltimore City 311 Website for the self-service portal.
Mobile App: Download the Baltimore 311 app from the App Store or Google Play.
Whether it’s reporting illegal dumping, requesting the repair of a streetlight, or addressing sidewalk maintenance, your actions matter!
Together, we can ensure our school and surrounding areas remain a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for everyone. Let’s show our GHEMS pride by stepping up for our community.
Thank you for helping us create lasting change. Let’s make a difference, one service request at a time!
Sincerely,
George Strother
