City Schools extends its congratulations to Joshua Civin, Chief Legal Officer, for his appointment by Governor Wes Moore to serve on the Maryland Appellate Courts Judicial Nominating Commission.  This Commission helps evaluate applicants for state appellate judgeships. Mr. Civin’s appointment is a testament to his ongoing commitment to excellence in City Schools’ Office of Legal Counsel, as well as his extensive legal career prior to joining City Schools, which includes a clerkship for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and civil rights lawyering at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. We are confident that Mr. Civin will contribute greatly to the future of the justice system while also continuing his important legal work in support of our schools and students in Baltimore City.
