City Schools, along with hundreds of other school districts in Maryland and across the nation, filed a pathbreaking lawsuit against Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, SnapChat, and Facebook.

City Schools’ lawsuit aims to hold these social media platforms accountable for designing unsafe and addictive platforms that harm student health and well-being. At the request of these companies, the Federal Court ordered City Schools and other school districts to disclose some student records to the lawyers and a limited number of experts in this case.
