Hey City Schools Staff,

We are excited to invite your school to participate in the sixth annual International Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Day on Monday, March 3, 2025. This year's theme, "Skills for Success – Ready for the Future," emphasizes the critical role SEL plays in preparing students for lifelong success. (sel4us.org)

What is SEL Day?

SEL Day is a global event that brings together schools and communities to showcase, promote, and advocate for social-emotional learning. It serves as an opportunity to highlight the importance of SEL in fostering students' personal and academic growth. (selday.org). The Student Wholeness Team is extending the love all month long, starting with SEL Week (March 3 -March 8).

Here is a list of ways that your school can participate:

    • Write a message of kindness, encouragement, or gratitude to colleagues

    •  Make a short video of faculty engaging in an SEL activity (yoga, morning meeting/advisory, mindful moment)

  • Students

  • Administration

    • Host an SEL Unity Day at your school

    • Spotlight an SEL Legend at your school.

  • Student Government or Student Leadership Teams

    • Organize an SEL event that you would like to do for your school/community

    • Host a podcast or create a video to celebrate SEL Day at your school.
