CORE CURRICULAR PROGRAMS

1. Literacy – Wit and Wisdom 

  • This program fosters a love for reading and writing through engaging classic and contemporary literature. Students develop critical thinking skills by analyzing complex texts, participate in lively discussions, and refine their own writing through various genres.

2. Literacy - Wilson’s Fundations Phonics Program  

  • This structured program provides a strong foundation in phonics, the building blocks of reading. Through explicit instruction, students master letter-sound relationships, blending sounds, and decoding unfamiliar words. This empowers them to become confident and independent readers.

3. Mathematics - Eureka 

  • Eureka Math emphasizes deep conceptual understanding of mathematical ideas. Students are challenged to solve problems through critical thinking and collaboration. The program incorporates a problem-based learning approach, allowing students to discover solutions and develop strong reasoning skills.

4. Scholastic Book Room Leveled Libraries

5. McGraw Hill Social Studies 

  • This program provides a comprehensive and interactive approach to social studies. 6. SABES/IQWST Science

  • This program combines the Science Adventures By Everyone (SABE) and the Investigating Questions in Science, Technology, and Society (IQWST) curricula. It offers a hands-on, inquiry-based approach to science learning. Students conduct experiments, analyze data, and draw conclusions, fostering a love for scientific discovery and critical thinking skills.

RESOURCE CLASSES/SPECIALS

1. Arts

  • In Art class, students explore various forms of visual expression. They learn basic techniques in drawing, painting, and sculpture, and experiment with different materials. The class encourages creativity and helps students develop their artistic skills while appreciating the importance of art in different cultures.

2. Music

  • In Music class, students learn about rhythm, melody, and harmony through singing, playing instruments, and listening to different genres of music. They develop an understanding of musical theory and practice, while also exploring music from various cultures and historical periods.

3. Gym

  • In Gym class, students participate in physical activities that promote fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. They engage in games, exercises, and sports that build coordination, strength, and endurance. The class focuses on maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.

4.Spanish

  • In Spanish class, students are introduced to the Spanish language through speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities. They learn basic vocabulary, grammar, and conversational phrases, while also exploring aspects of Spanish-speaking cultures around the world.

5. Coding

  • In Coding class, students learn the basics of computer programming through fun and interactive projects. They explore problem-solving, logic, and creativity as they write simple code to create games, animations, and websites. The class helps students understand how technology works and prepares them for more advanced digital skills.
