Hi!
My name is Amanda White (formerly Fruzynski for all my previous students!). I’ve been teaching since 2009 and started teaching at Armistead Gardens in 2010. I’ve taught Pre-K, 2nd grade and have been teaching Kindergarten for the last several years (and it’s my favorite!). I grew up in Arizona and went to Arizona State University before joining Teach For America and coming to the east coast. I received my masters in Early Childhood Education at Johns Hopkins University. I love reading, cooking and crafts. I grew up speaking Polish with my family and am in the process of learning Spanish, mostly from the awesome bilingual students and families here at our school.

I have been working at AG for 3 years. I am from Columbia. I moved here when I was 17 and lived in New York for 20 years. My husband and I moved to Baltimore so that our two beautiful daughters would be near our family. We have loved getting to know our Armistead family and putting down roots in our wonderful school.

This is my first year as a kindergarten paraprofessional, and I am very excited for this new adventure. I was born and raised here in Baltimore, Maryland. I am a proud Armistead Gardens graduate class of 2005. At that time Armistead only went up to 5th grade. I have very nice memories of this school throughout my childhood, most of the building is pretty much the same. It's actually very nostalgic for me to be back here working. I am Bilingual in both Spanish and English. Received my Bachelor's in Business Administration at Goucher College, after having my son I decided I wanted to venture into education.
Photo coming soon!
