AG is starting July by celebrating our summer programming!
We are thrilled to share that we have a lot going on this summer. Camp Curiosity will welcome 20 new prekindergarten students and Springboard will serve 105 students in PreK to 5th grade. We are also hosting many of our AG former 8th graders through YouthWorks.
Camp Curiosity is for Incoming Pre-K students enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year and current Pre-K students. Camp Curiosity is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and play-based summer program for pre-k and kindergarten students. There are four weekly themes: At the Zoo, Bugs, Construction, and Oceans and Seashores. Weekly lessons include English language arts, math, science, social studies, and social-emotional learning. It's a wonderful, engaging way to get our earliest learner started off with the best foot forward. Check back here in a few weeks for pictures and updates!
Springboard is an after-school and summer program targeting academic skills that our students have loved! We are so lucky to have a full year of programming AND have the program return this summer. Students will engage in activities that are both fun and meaningful, bringing activities to our students in Pre-K to 5th grade opportunities to build their academic skills in collaborative and fun ways!
Our older students (14+) may be heading off to high school soon, but this summer, many of them are working at AG through YouthWorks. YouthWorks is a program of the Mayor's office that collaborates between our students and our schools and businesses/organizations all over the city to bring employment opportunities to Baltimore's young people. Our YouthWorks employees will be working on school programs like Springboard as well as facilities like moving and organizing spaces.
AG is the place to be this summer!
