AG

AG is always responding to needs. Throughout the year and into the summer we look at our student performance data to find areas of strength and weakness, making sure we're always finding creative, meaningful ways to address our areas for growth.

Check out this video that highlights our work in early childhood literacy!

In addition to the work we do at AG, here are 3 ways YOU can help improve childhood reading!

1) Join the Enoch Pratt Free Library and head over to the Herring Run Branch and check out books together!

2) Sing up for FREE book delivery straight to your house!

3) In a pinch, you can read for free using this online tool: https://monkeypen.com/pages/free-childrens-books

Reading in childhood and throughout adolescence is linked to higher levels of success throughout life!

A University of Oxford study conducted by Mark Taylor "analysed 17,200 questionnaire responses from people born in 1970 who gave details of their extra-curricular activities at the age of 16 and their careers at the age of 33 and found that the 16-year-olds who read books at least once a month were significantly more likely to be in a managerial or professional job at 33 than those who did not read books at all."
